Actually, this is not strictly Christmas crafting, or rather it could be called last Christmas's crafting, since I promised my mum a quilt and never delivered. A fact she reminded me of the other day... Ah, but wait and see, I said. Truth is, that first quilt has been abandoned. Too simple and not special enough. The new Christmas quilt - which will actually be for her birthday in early December - is going to be a whole lot better. I bought some Liberty fabrics from purl soho a few weeks ago and have been trying to figure out the best way to use the beautiful colour wheel. So far, I have cut the quarters into strips and now have to plan the quilt carefully. Or not. I have to get the thing done, most importantly. Finished is always better than perfect, I say.
