one day in liverpool

The Liver Building and the Liver Birds on the top (shot from moving car).

We had lunch with Jamie. He didn't show, but Edwina Currie was there. I resisted the temptation to take a picture of my food. Far too blog-ish, and I was way too greedy.

Wandered around Albert Dock, a UNESCO site which was once a gateway to the world and is now all tourist-friendly with restaurants and bars, the Beatles Museum, the International Slavery Museum and the Tate Liverpool.

There were a series of exhibitions curated by other artists, such as the poet Carol Ann Duffy and milliner-to-the-stars Philip Treacy, whose wooden hat blocks were also on display.

And finally? Well, when in Rome...

(Actually, we just looked. Then went to the pub across the road.)
